Are the delivery charges included?
- Just Energy, Amigo Energy, and Tara Energy Employee Discount Plans are unbundled products. The pass-through TDSP charges are applicable and will show as a separate line item.
Do these plans have any additional charges?
- There is no base charge nor monthly fees.
If I chose the plan, how soon would my discount apply?
- Immediately after switching plans and will be reflected on the next invoice depending on the billing cycle.
Is the $175 an early termination fee (ETF)?
- Yes, this plan follows the standard process of an ETF if the contract is ended by the account holder for any reason other than moving locations. That said, an ETF will not be assessed when doing a plan change.
Does the posted rate include the 20%?
- No, the 500, 1000, 2000 average rate does not include the 20% discount. Please see EFL for the energy rate which will be discounted by 20%.
Can I get the Employee Discount Plan if I am renting but the account is under someone else’s name?
- The account must be enrolled under an active Just Energy or affiliated employee. The discount is not available to temporary or contract employees.
Can I add the 20% discount to my current rate?
- No, the 20% discount cannot be applied to your current rate, a plan change is required.
If I am a current customer, what is the next step to sign up for the Employee Discount offer?
- Email TXEmployeeDiscount@justenergy.com and ask for a plan change to one of our exciting new offers for Just Energy and affiliates employees! Choose between a 12, 24, 36, and 60 month term in any of our 3 brands (Just Energy, Amigo Energy, and Tara Energy)!
Does the cancellation fee reimbursement policy apply for this Employee Discount plan?
- Yes, please send your final bill showing the cancellation penalty from your previous provider to swrevenue@justenergy.com to receive up to $150 of the Early Termination Fee as a credit on your account.
Terms and Conditions
1 Employee discount is only valid for the Just Energy Basics PTC Employee Discount Plan. Get 20% off your energy rate during the term of your agreement. Just Energy reserves the right to discontinue the discount at any time, and the employee is responsible for paying the normal plan rate. This discount is only available for active Just Energy or affiliate employees only. Contract employees do not qualify.
Check Your Eligibility
To take advantage of your employee energy discount, you must:
- Be an active full-time Just Energy employee at the time of enrollment – Contractors, temporary employees, and spouses or other family members of Just Energy employees do not qualify.
- Enroll with your @justenergy.com or affiliate email address. Your email notification setting may be updated via the Just Energy customer portal after enrollment.
- Follow the standard enrollment process. NOTE: This includes a soft credit check and a bad debt check. If an enrollment waiver is needed, please send an email to: TXEmployeeDiscount@justenergy.com.
